Disaster and Crisis Management Plan

Aircraft Accidents on Campus

·        Unless an obvious action is indicated, the will determine the emergency action to be taken.  Whenever necessary, teachers will take immediate action to ensure the safety of students.

·        All persons must be kept at a safe distance from the aircraft because of the great danger of explosion.

·        If an aircraft crashes on or near the campus, teachers may only be warned by the sound of the crash or an explosion.  In such cases, teachers should initiate the Lock Down procedure to protect students from further explosions and falling obstacles or materials and wait for further instructions.  If the building they are in is on fire as a result of the crash, they should initiate a Room Evacuation.
